These are brand new airway buffing wheels (3 pieces) and polishing compounds (2 pieces) direct from the manufacturer.
Airway buffing wheels:
are a versatile buff used for heavy-duty finishing of ferrous metals, nonferrous metals and plastics. Its construction has a self-cooling property and it exhibits longer life in high-speed buffing operations. It is the most popular buff used in the trucking industry.
All the wheels are 8" with 5/8" arbor hole.
Buffing stage:
I:
Orange
- is use with tripoli/brown compound for initial cut-down operation
II:
Yellow
- is use with green compound for one-step shine maintenance
III:
White
- is use with green for final polishing
Safety Precaution
: To prevent serious injury in case buff falls apart, ALWAYS use a SAFETY FLANGE, such as a 4" cupped disc with 5/8" arbor hole.
Polishing Compound
:
Tripoli
- a brown color compound about 2 lbs. is use with orange wheel for first-step cut-down operation or use with white wheel for minor scratch/haze removal.
Green
- a light green color compound about 2-1/2 lbs. is use with white wheel for second-step finishing operation or with yellow wheel for one-step cut-and-finish operation. (shine maintenance).
