The 40-C has a scale allowing for 20dB of headroom in 1dB steps. The headroom scale is identical to the AES/EBU Digital Standard.

This meter is equipped with a 40-LED bar graph, allowing for 20dB of headroom in 1dB steps of resolution per LED.
