Santa Clara Doll

Description

Santa Clara Tile Company Doll with no markings.  Made in California during WWII.  Painted features with cloth stuffed body. Head, arms and legs are shiny China.  Head under wig has some crazing, but no cracks.  No crazing on face, arms or legs. Eyes are painted on.  Her blond wig is arranged in beautiful sausage curls. She wears a straw hat decorated with a dark blue velvet ribbon and flowers.  Her Cobalt  blue, velvet dress has a lace collar and sleeves trimmed in lace with an inverted pleat in the center.  Her slip has ecru eyelet lace at the bottom.  One shoe is missing. She displays nicely on a stand and can also sit.  Very well made.
